2Health

The demographic change in combination with financial crisis negatively impacts the healthcare institutions, which partly can be seen by an increasing demand & a large supply/competence gap coupled with a growing share of (chronically ill) senior healthcare workers for which the workplace has to be adapted to motivate them to stay employed.

Five hospitals from France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom came together to take tangible steps to improve employability in healthcare sector & to promote/improve the economic & social assets. 2Health is unique in focusing on healthcare workforce perspective with benefits for employees, employers, healthcare institutions, governance bodies.

The main objective is to increase employability in the covered regions & enhance overall attractiveness of jobs in the healthcare sector addressing the negative effects of demographic change. 2Health will explore innovative/integrative approaches to employability taking a holistic perspective, building on existing measures/knowledge to provide a framework for long-term effects.
