Our company

Grants Europe Consulting was established in 2008 to respond to the increasing need for specialised consultancies able to provide premium services in accessing EU funding programmes such as Interreg, FP7 and URBACT. It was founded by Hen Gerritse and Eszter Kostenszky both having ample experience in designing and drafting successful project proposals. Hen Gerritse has a long track record as EU fund specialist and was also the Director of the Interreg IIIB NWE Secretariat in Lille.

Grants Europe Consulting is specialised in bridging regional and European policies and associated funding programmes. Grants Europe works for both the public and private sector. Consultants of Grants Europe have been closely involved in the development of ERDF funded programmes and projects in which the Lisbon and Gothenburg principles on innovation and sustainability are the leading principles. Thanks to our professionalism, we have so far achieved a solid track record with an average of 80% success rate in all submitted EU grants proposals.

This success lies in our ability to best connect clients’ wishes to European funding opportunities and cover the whole process of EU funding proposals from the initial project idea to the submission of applications, project start-up and implementation. Our another strength is that we cover a large geographic area: South-East, Central, North-West Europe. We cover the whole territory of the EU and our multi-cultural and multi-lingual team has ample experience with working in various cultural and political settings. Our clientele ranges from municipalities and cities to companies and public entities such as hospitals and specialised management authorities.

European Affairs Alliance

Our mission

Our mission is to bridge funds and unite local communities to pool resources, exchange experiences and build lasting local and regional cooperation networks. We help local and regional authorities and other public and semi-public entities access and absorb EU funds with a view to achieve sustainable regional development targeting some of our main structural problems such as demographic change (ageing), climate change.

Why?

Because we believe that EU cities and regions are the backbone of the EU socio-economic development and that the structural problems, like demographic change, climate change and shrinking public funds for development projects are best targeted at local and regional level

How?

Stepping into our clients’ world, understanding their problems, issues and opportunities and jointly defining projects that allow our clients to develop and grow and to maximise their access to EU grants and co-financing schemes.

What?

The three companies of the European Affairs Alliance (i.e. HBHE, Grants and EU-Liaison) on the basis of the principle “one stop shop” offer a complete service line for EU funding programmes ranging from first project concept to project development, project implementation, to monitoring and final evaluation.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility and environmental awareness are important aspects of our day-to-day work and we continuously take steps to improve our social and environmental consciousness through exploiting the various instruments and methods available. Some of the main elements of our CSR and environmental policy:

  • We follow a Green Office model with energy efficiency measures, waste minimisation and separation, use of ecological products such as detergents and FSC paper (implemented spring 2011)
  • We do pro-bono works for certain causes
  • We calculate and manage our ecological foot print (buy CO2 fee for flight tickets, we have a policy about public transport, taking the bike and preferring train instead of plane in case of shorter distances)
